We started the bakery at the beginning of lockdown in our garage in Rode, Somerset.
The Village Baking Co. set out to bring real bread and other delectable bakes to the people of Rode and beyond.
Now in our third version we're back in the heart of the village, serving the community directly once more.
Our shop is open between 10-1pm every Friday and Saturday.
We no longer take pre-orders, however you can order our large seasonal fruit & almond tarts and seasonably quiches using the order link.

Our focus as ever is sustainability, provenance and quality of raw ingredients.
That means stoneground, regenerative flour, organic dairy, seasonal fruit and vegetables - all sourced from as locally as possible.
Above all we're about making delicious food.
We use a range of ingredients in the bakery, some of which are allergens.
We always list the contained allergens on the open food network product description, and take great care to ensure your food is handled safely to avoid contact with allergens.
As you would expect, certain ingredients are used on a daily basis in the bakery and will be present in the environment, so we cannot guarantee there will be no trace of certain allergens.
The bakery is therefore not free of the following allergens: dairy, eggs, gluten, nuts and sesame.
